
Hewlett-Packard’s recently announced netbook for business users, the 10.1-inch HP Mini 5102, is available now.
The Mini 5102 comes with the Intel Atom Processor N450 at 1.66GHz, the Intel GMA HD graphics, optional Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video Accelerator for high-def video decoding, up to 2GB of DDR2 memory, up to 320GB of hard drive space or up to 80GB of solid state drive storage, a 4- or 6-cell battery, and Windows 7 Starter OS.
The netbook’s 10.1-inch LED-backlit display has a resolution of 1024×600 or 1366×768 pixels. It is also expected to be available with an optional capacitive multi-touch display.

Other features include an optional handle, a 95% full-size keyboard, a built-in web camera, stereo speakers, 802.11n WiFi, Gobi mobile broadband connectivity with GPS, optional Bluetooth, a LAN port, three USB ports, a media card reader, and a VGA output.
The 0.91-inch thin HP Mini 5102 starts at 2.64 pounds. It has an anodized-aluminum display enclosure and is available in three colors: red, blue, and black.
The cheapest Mini 5102 configuration has a price tag of $749 at the HP website.

Micro Star Int’l has released the MSI Wind U160, which belongs to the company’s new line of Intel Atom “Pine Trail M”-based netbooks.
The U160 features a 10-inch 1024 x 600-pixel LED-backlight display, the Intel Atom N450 processor with the GMA 3150 graphics, a 160GB hard drive, up to 2GB of DDR2 memory, a 3- or 6-cell battery, and Windows 7 OS.
The U160 comes in two colors: Fancy Gold and Jet Black.
MSI’s new mini-laptop also sports a 1.3MP web camera, stereo speakers, 802.11 b/g/n WLAN, Bluetooth, three USB ports, a 2-in-1 media card reader, a VGA output and 3.5G mobile broadband in select countries.
The Wind U160 is less than one inch thick and weighs 2.2 pounds.

Asustek has announced the Asus Eee PC T101MT, a 10.1-inch multi-touch convertible netbook.
Along with the 1024×600 LED backlight display that supports Windows 7 multi-touch gestures and uses resistive technology, the Eee PC T101MT features the Intel Atom N450 processor and Windows 7 Starter or Home Premium OS.
The tablet netbook with Starter edition has 1GB of DDR2 memory and a 160GB hard drive, whereas the Home Premium-based model includes 2GB of RAM and a 320GB HDD.
Both versions feature a 35Wh battery for up to 6.5-hour run time, a 0.3MP web camera and microphone, stereo speakers, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth, three USB ports, a multi-in-one media card reader, and a VGA output.
The Eee PC T101MT weighs 2.86lbs and comes in white or black color.

Acer has announced the 10.1-inch Aspire One 532G, the first netbook with the HD-capable NVIDIA Ion 2 graphics and Optimus technology for GPU switching on-the-fly.
Besides the next-generation NVIDIA ION video chip with 512MB of dedicated memory and the Intel Atom N450 processor with the GMA 3150 integrated graphics, the Acer Aspire One 532G includes 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, a battery life of “up to 10 hours”, an HDMI port, WiFi, and optional 3G mobile broadband connection.
The netbook provides 720p high-definition video playback on its sceen, as well as 1080p on an external display through the HDMI port.
The 2.2-pound 532G is 1 inch thin and will be available in Sapphire Blue, Ruby Red and Pearl Silver colors.
It will start shipping at the end of Q1 2010. Currently, there’s no info on pricing

Acer has announced a dual-boot version of the Aspire One AOD250 netbook, which includes Adroid and Windows XP operating systems.
Android is a lightweight Linux-based open source OS designed specifically for mobile devices. Acer says that Android allows the Aspire One netbook to boot up and shut down quickly with “instant on” Internet connectivity.
The Aspire One AOD250 features a 10.1-inch display, the Intel Atom N280 processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 160GB hard drive.
The first netbook with Android in the US market starts at $349.99.

The Mini 110 XP runs Windows XP OS and comes with an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz or N280 1.66GHz processor, the GMA 950 integrated graphics, 1GB of DDR2 memory, a 160GB hard drive or up to 32GB of solid state drive storage, and a 3- or 6-cell battery. An optional Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video Accelerator for 1080p video content is expected to be available in July.
The netbook’s 10.1″ LED backlight display has a resolution of 1024×576 pixels and anti-glare coating.
Other features include a built-in web camera, stereo speakers, a 92% of full-size keyboard, a wireless G card, an optional mobile broadband module, a LAN port, three USB ports, a 5-in-1 media card reader, and a VGA output.
The HP Mini 110 XP starts at 2.25 pounds and has the Black Swirl Imprint finish.
Its base price is $329 at the HP website.

Hewlett-Packard announced today the newly designed HP Mini 5101 10.1-inch netbook, featuring the Intel Atom N280 CPU at 1.66GHz, up to 320GB HDD at 7,200rpm or an 80GB solid state drive, Windows XP Home or SUSE Linux OS, and a 4-cell or 6-cell battery.
The LED backlight display has a resolution of 1024-by-600 or 1366-by-768 pixels. It’s managed by the Intel GMA 950 video chip.
The HP Mini 5101 also sports a keyboard that is 95 percent of a full-size QWERTY keyboard and that has keys raised from the surface, a 2MP web camera, stereo speakers and microphones, 802.11a/b/g/draft-n WiFi, a Gigabit LAN port, optional mobile broadband module, three USB ports, a 2-in-1 media card reader, and a VGA output.
The netbook starts at 2.6 pounds and features an anodized aluminum display enclosure with a black, brushed finish, while the lower case of the netbook is made of magnesium alloy.
The HP Mini 5101 is available now at HP and starts at $399.

Asustek’s first touch-screen netbook, the 8.9-inch Asus Eee PC T91, is now available for purchase in the United States.
Amazon.com and eCost.com offer the 2.1-pound convertible, the T91SA-VU1X-BK, that includes the Intel Atom Z520 CPU at 1.33GHz, 1GB of DDR2 memory, a 16GB solid state drive plus a free 16GB SD card and 20GB via Eee Storage service, a “5-hour” battery, and Windows XP Home OS with Asutek’s exclusive TouchSuite user interface.
The display uses resistive touch technology and LED backlight.
The black Eee PC T91 also includes a 0.3MP web camera, stereo speakers and a microphone, 802.11n WiFi, a LAN port, two USB ports, an MMC / SD (SDHC) card raeder, and a VGA output.

PC maker Asustek develops a netbook which will run Google’s Android open source operating system, business publication Bloomberg reports.
Asustek’s main man for Eee PC netbooks Samson Hu said in an interview that a team of engineers had been assigned to develop the Android-based netbook project. However, he pointed out that the company had not yet made a decision on whether it would proceed to market with the results of the experiment.
Android is an operating system used in mobile devices. It’s based on a Linux kernel, developed by Google and later the Open Handset Alliance.

Samsung’s NC10-11PBK Special Edition 10.2-inch netbook is now available in the US.
The NC10-11PBK, offered by Amazon, has a battery life of “up to 9.4 hours”. That’s an increase from 8 hours in the standard NC10 models. Furthermore, the Special Edition is black, whereas the standard NC10 has either white or blue chassis. The product page on Amazon.com also says that the NC10-11PBK’s touch pad is larger than on other NC10 models.
The core components remained the same and include the 1024 x 600 display, Intel’s Atom N270 processor at 1.6GHz, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, and a 160GB hard drive with Windows XP Home preloaded.
The Samsung NC10-11PBK Special Edition is priced at $469.
