<p>The 15.6-inch M15x and 17-inch M17x are configurable with the dual core i5-520M, i5-540M and i7-620M CPUs, as well with the quad core i7-720QM, i7-820QM and i7-920XM chips. The quad core processors had been already available on the Alienware M15x, while the M17x is additionally offered with the older Core 2 Duo CPUs.</p>

<p>Dell announced today the Latitude 13 business ultraportable, “the world’s thinnest 13-inch commercial client laptop”.</p>
<p>The Dell Latitude 13 features various corporate-class technologies, such as remote manageability, desktop virtualization through certification from Citrix and VMware, full disk encryption, and Trusted Platform Module (TPM), as well as Dell ImageDirect service which “lets IT create, update and deploy system images 24/7 from a secure online location.”</p>
<p>Dell’s laptop supports mobile broadband connectivity and 802.11g/n WiFi, and features optional solid state drives, optional external Blu-ray drive, and built-in webcam and microphone.</p>
<p>Dell also announced addition of the Intel Core i5 and i7 dual-core processors to the Precision M6500 17″ mobile workstation. The M6500 is currently available with the quad-core Core i7 CPUs.</p>
<p>The Latitude 13 and the dual-core Precision M6500 will be available for order in the coming weeks, the PC maker says.</p>

<p>Starting at 4.5 pounds and measuring at “just over a half an inch thin”, the Latitude Z features the Intel Core 2 Duo SU9600 or SU9400 ultra-low voltage processor, the GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, 2GB or 4GB of DDR3 memory, one or two solid state drives with up to 256GB of storage per SSD, a 1600×900 LED backlight display, and a 4-cell or 8-cell battery. The notebook does not include a built-in optical drive.</p>
<p>Dell’s Latitude Z (Z600), advertised as “the world’s thinnest and lightest 16-inch laptop”, also sports a 2MP web camera with face recognition and business card reading functionality, 802.11n WiFi, optional WiMAX, optional mobile broadband connectivity, Bluetooth, an Ethernet LAN port, a Display Port, two USB ports (one is shared with eSATA port), optional wireless USB for a clutter-free connection to peripherals, a fingerprint reader, the TPM 1.2, and a contactless Smart Card reader.</p>
<p>Along with a backlit keyboard and a gesture-enabled touchpad, the notebook includes the Dell EdgeTouch LCD Sensor, enabling innovative controls at lower right corner of LCD for “quick, easy and customizable” laptop interaction.</p>
<p>Optionally, customers can purchase the Latitude Z with a wireless inductive charging stand. An internal charging module must be installed in the laptop in order to use inductive charging.</p>

Protective features include rugged hinges, rugged I/O doors, and an optional rubber backlit keyboard.</p>
<p>The 12.1″ display is outdoor-readable and has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Along with touch and multi-touch, the screen supports digital pen input.</p>
<p>Regarding core components, the XT2 XFR includes the Intel Core Duo ULV SU9600 1.6GHz processor with vPro technology, up to 5GB of DDR3 memory, up to 128GB solid state drive or up to 160GB hard drive storage, the Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated GPU, wireless LAN, a Gigabit Ethernet port, optional mobile broadband connectivity, Bluetooth, a single speaker, a microphone, optional hot swappable 2MP camera or dedicated GPS, three USB ports, ExpressCard and SD card slots, a Smart Card reader, a Firewire port, a VGA output, a fingerprint reader, and the TPM 1.2.</p>
<p>The Tablet PC starts at 5.4lbs and comes with a 4-, 6-, or 9-cell battery.</p>
<p>It runs Windows Vista Business and has a base price of $3,600 at Dell.com.</p>

<p>The Vostro 1014 and 1015 come with Windows Vista or Windows 7 pre-installed and start at $429 at dell.com.</p>
<p>Back in August, Dell has also announced the Vostro 1088 with the 14″ display and the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 512MB video card. However, the notebook is not available yet.</p>

<p>Dell launched today the Alienware M17X “All Powerful”, a 17-inch gaming laptop PC with Nvidia’s graphics, Intel CPU technology, and a new design.</p>
<p>The M17X features up to dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 280M 1GB video cards in SLI mode and the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, upgradeable to quad-core Core 2 Quad / Extreme. Other components include up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 1TB of hard drive space or up to 512GB of solid state drive storage, a slot-load DVD burner or Blu-ray optical disc, and an additional integrated GPU that can be used to save battery when dedicated graphics is not needed.</p>
<p>Display resolution options include 1440-by-900 or 1920-by-1200.</p>
<p>The M17X also sports stereo speakers, 5.1 surround sound audio support, DisplayPort, HDMI, and VGA video outputs, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Gigabit LAN, Bluetooth, four USB connectors, an eSATA/USB combo port, an ExpressCard slot, an 8-in-1 media card reader, and a FireWire port.</p>
<p>Design features include an anodized aluminum chassis with black and silver color options, a personalized laser engraved nameplate, backlighting for the keyboard, number pad, and touchpad, and trim lights.</p>
<p>Alienware’s M17X starts at 11.7 pounds with its 9-cell battery.</p>
<p>The basic configuration, which includes a Core 2 Duo at 2.4GHz, a GeForce GTX 260 GPU, 4GB of RAM and a 250GB HDD, is priced at $1,799. The laptop can be purchased at Dell.com.</p>

<p>Screen choices include a TrueLife or an LED backlight anti-glare display, both at a 1280×800 resolution.</p>
<p>The 1220 also sports a built-in 1.3MP web camera and microphone, a single speaker, WiFi connection, optional mobile broadband and optional WiMAX card, a Gigabit LAN port and a 56K modem, optional fingerprint reader and the Trusted Platform Module, three USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, a 3-in-1 media card reader.</p>
<p>Dell’s new ultraportable, available in Obsidian Black or Deep Cherry Red, comes with a 4-cell or 6-cell battery. The 6-cell unit provides up to 9 hours of battery life, according to the PC maker.</p>
<p>The Vostro 1220 comes with Windows Vista or Ubuntu Linux OS and starts at $800. It can be purchased through the Dell SMB online store.</p>
