
Hewlett-Packard announced today the HP Envy 17 3D, “the first 17-inch notebook PC to support 1080p 3D and Blu-ray”.
Besides the 3D-capable full HD Ultra BrightView display, 3D active shutter glasses, and a Blu-ray optical drive, the Envy 17 3D includes Beats Audio with a Triple Bass Reflex subwoofer, Intel’s Core i7 processor, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850 dedicated graphics, ATI Eyefinity Technology for multiple external display support, and up to 2TB of storage capacity.
The HP ENVY 17 3D is expected to be available this holiday season. There’s no word on pricing.

HP has launched the Compaq Presario CQ62z affordable 15.6-inch notebook, starting at $381.
The Compaq Presario CQ62z processor choices include the dual-core AMD V120 at 2.2GHz, AMD Athlon II N330 at 2.3GHz, Turion II P520 at 2.3GHz, or Phenom II N620 at 2.8GHz, and triple-core Phenom II N830 at 2.1GHz. The laptop features the ATI Radeon HD 4250 integrated or Radeon HD545v 512MB dedicated graphics, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 500GB of hard disk space, and a DVD writer or Blu-ray combo drive.
Its LED-backlit display has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels.
The Compaq Presario CQ62z also includes an optional web camera, microphone, built-in Altec Lansing stereo speakers, 802.11n WiFi, optional Bluetooth, Ethernet LAN, optional modem, three USB ports, and VGA output, as well as an HDMI port and a 5-in-1 media card reader in select configurations.
The 4.85-pound laptop comes with a 6-cell battery and has a matte-black exterior finish.
The CQ62z runs Windows 7 Home Premium OS and can be purchased now via HP’s online store.

Hewlett-Packard has updated the HP Pavilion dm3z 13.3″ ultraportable consumer notebook, which is now based on new 2010 AMD processors and graphics.
The Pavilion dm3z CPU choices include the AMD Athlon II Neo K125 at 1.7GHz, K325 at 1.3Ghz, or K625 at 1.5GHz. The dm3z features the ATI Radeon HD 4225 integrated graphics only or a switchable solution including both the IGP and the Radeon HD 5430 512MB dedicated GPU. The laptop has up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 640GB of hard disk space or a 128GB sold state drive, a 6-cell battery for up to 6 hours run time, and optional external DVD burner or external Blu-ray combo.
Its LED-backlit BrightView display has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels.
HP’s dm3z also includes a HP TrueVision web camera, digital microphone, Altec Lansing stereo speakers, HDMI and VGA outputs, 802.11n WiFi, Gigabit LAN, optional Bluetooth, optional mobile broadband powered by Gobi, four USB ports, and a 5-in-1 digital media reader.
The 4.17-pound laptop is “less than one inch thick” and has a stylish “Modern Argento” brushed aluminum chassis.
The HP Pavilion dm3z runs Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional edition and can be purchased at the HP online store for a base price of $499.99.

Hewlett-Packard has announced the HP Mini 100e 10.1-inch netbook designed for primary school students.
The kid-friendly Mini 100e features the Intel Atom N455 processor with GMA HD integrated graphics, 1GB of DDR3 memory expandable to 2GB, 160GB of hard disk space, a 3- or 6-cell battery, Windows 7 Starter, XP, or SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 OS, and an optional external DVD writer.
Its LED-backlit display has a resolution of 1024×600 pixels.
HP’s Mini 100e also includes an integrated web camera, mono speaker, microphone, optional 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Ethernet LAN, a modem, two USB ports, an SD card slot, a spill-resistant keyboard, and a VGA output.
The Mini 100e has a built-in carrying handle and weighs 3.19 pounds.
It will be available in July with an expected price under $300.

The G42t features the Intel Core i3 and i5 dual-core processors, up to the i5-520M, Intel HD integrated graphics, up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM, up to 640GB hard drive, a DVD burner or Blu-ray drive, and a display resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.
The notebook includes a web camera and microphone, stereo speakers, 802.11n Wi-Fi, optional Bluetooth, Ethernet LAN, optional 56k modem, three USB ports, a VGA connector, and optionally a 5-in-1 media card reader and HDMI.

The HP Pavilion dv5t series entertainment notebook, the company’s first laptop with a 14.5-inch display, is now available.
Along with the LED-backlit screen at 1366-by-768 pixels, the HP dv5t features the Core i3-350M, i5-430M or i5-520M CPU, Intel HD integrated graphics, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 640GB of hard drive space, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray optical drive.
The Pavilion dv5t also includes an island-style keyboard, webcam with microphone, Altec Lansing stereo speakers, 802.11n WiFi, optional Bluetooth, Gigabit LAN port, optional mobile broadband connection, three USB connectors (3th shared with eSATA port), a 5-in-1 media card reader, and VGA and HDMI outputs.
It’s 1.22″ thick and weighs 5.19lbs with the standard 6-cell battery providing up to up to 5.75 hours of run time on a single charge.

Hewlett-Packard has released the 15.6-inch HP Pavilion dv6t Select Edition entertainment laptop.
The main differences between the dv6t Select Edition and new standard dv6t is that the SE has a touchscreen display option, quad-core processor choice, and a different case finish.
The Pavilion dv6t Select Edition features the Intel Core i3, i5, or i7 CPU, up to the quad-core i7-820QM, a switchable graphics solution combining the Intel HD integrated and ATI Radeon HD5470 512MB or HD5650 1GB dedicated GPU, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 640GB of hard disk space or a 160GB solid state drive, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray optical drive. Configurations with quad-core CPUs come with the ATI Radeon HD5650 1GB GPU only.
The notebook’s HD LED-backlit Brightview display has a resolution of 1366×768-pixles. The touch-screen option supports multi-touch gestures and is accompanied by HP TouchSmart applications.

Hewlett-Packard’s recently announced netbook for business users, the 10.1-inch HP Mini 5102, is available now.
The Mini 5102 comes with the Intel Atom Processor N450 at 1.66GHz, the Intel GMA HD graphics, optional Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video Accelerator for high-def video decoding, up to 2GB of DDR2 memory, up to 320GB of hard drive space or up to 80GB of solid state drive storage, a 4- or 6-cell battery, and Windows 7 Starter OS.
The netbook’s 10.1-inch LED-backlit display has a resolution of 1024×600 or 1366×768 pixels. It is also expected to be available with an optional capacitive multi-touch display.

Other features include an optional handle, a 95% full-size keyboard, a built-in web camera, stereo speakers, 802.11n WiFi, Gobi mobile broadband connectivity with GPS, optional Bluetooth, a LAN port, three USB ports, a media card reader, and a VGA output.
The 0.91-inch thin HP Mini 5102 starts at 2.64 pounds. It has an anodized-aluminum display enclosure and is available in three colors: red, blue, and black.
The cheapest Mini 5102 configuration has a price tag of $749 at the HP website.
