HP Envy 15 Series

Hewlett-Pacakrd’s new high-performance entertainment notebook – the Intel Core i7-based 15.6″ HP Envy 15 – is now available.

Besides the Intel Core i7 i7-720QM 1.6GHz or i7-820QM 1.73GHz quad-core mobile CPU, the 1.04-inch thin Envy 15 features the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4830 1GB gaming-class video card, four memory slots for up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM, a 500GB 7,200rpm hard drive, and a 6-cell battery with an optional 9-cell extended unit. The laptop doesn’t include a built-in optical drive. Its 15.6″ full HD 1920×1080 display uses LED backlight.

HP’s Envy 15 also includes a web camera with microphone, stereo speakers, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth, a Gigabit LAN port, HDMI output, three USB connectors (3rd shared with eSATA port) and a 2-in-1 media card reader.

The notebook weighs 5.2 pounds with the standard battery and has a magnesium chassis with a metal-etched surface design.

Besides Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional operating system, the Envy 15 includes Envy Instant On, a mini OS that provides instant access to some basic applications without booting into the Windows.

The HP Envy 15 Series start at $1,800 can be ordered through the Hewlett-Packard online store.

HP thin-and-light 13.1″ laptop

HP Envy 13

The HP Envy 13 Series thin-and-light 13.1″ laptop is now available for purchase.

Measuring less than an inch thin and weighing 3.7 pounds, the Envy 13 has a chassis made of aluminum and magnesium. The notebook is based on Intel’s low voltage SL9400/SL9600 or ultra-low voltage SU9600 CPU and the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 512MB dedicated graphics. It comes with up to 3GB of DDR3 system memory, up to 250GB of hard drive space, and a 4-cell battery with an optional 6-cell extended-life unit. The laptop doesn’t include a built-in optical drive.

The 13.1″ LED backlight “Radiance” display has a resolution of 1366×768 or 1600×900 pixels, depending on customer’s choice. With a brightness of 410 nits, the display is twice as bright as other notebook displays in its class, according to Hewlett-Packard.

The HP Envy 13 also sports a web camera with microphone, stereo speakers, an HDMI output, 802.11n wireless, a Gigabit LAN port, two USB ports, and a 2-in-1 media card reader.

Besides Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional operating system, the Envy 13 includes Envy Instant On Solution, a mini OS that provides quick access to some basic applications without booting into Windows.

The laptop starts at $1,700 and can be purchased through Hewlett-Packard’s official website.

HP Pavilion dv6t Quad Edition

The HP Pavilion dv6t Quad Edition series is Hewlett-Packard’s new 15.6-inch notebook.

Unlike the standard Pavilion dv6t, based on the Intel Core 2 Duo dual-core processor, the dv6t Quad utilizes the latest Core i7 720QM or 820QM quad-core CPU. The Quad Edition includes the Nvidia GeForce GT 230M 1GB video card, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 500GB of hard drive space, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray combo drive. The 15.6″ display has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and uses LED backlight.

The new entertainment laptop sports an optionally integrated HDTV hybrid tuner, a web camera with microphone, Altec Lansing stereo speakers, HDMI and VGA outputs, G or N wireless LAN, an Ethernet port, optional Bluetooth and 56k modem, four USB ports (4th shared with eSATA port), an ExpressCard slot, a 5-in-1 media card reader, a Firewire port on select models, an expansion connector, and an optional fingerprint reader.

HP’s dv6t Quad weighs 6.34 pounds with the standard 6-cell battery. It has a “liquid metallic” chassis and comes in Espresso Black or Moonlight White color.

The notebook runs Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional and starts at $999.99 at the official HP store.

The HP Pavilion dv7t Quad Edition series is Hewlett-Packard’s recently released 17.3-inch entertainment laptop.

The Pavilion dv7t Quad utilizes the latest quad-core Intel Core i7 720QM or 820QM processor, whereas the standard Pavilion dv7t comes with the dual-core Intel Core 2 Duo CPU. The Quad Edition includes the Nvidia GeForce GT 230M 1GB video card, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 1TB of hard drive space using dual HDDs, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray combo drive. The 17.3″ LED-backlight display has a resolution of 1,600×900 pixels and is offered with a choice of edge-to-edge glass.

The dv8t Quad features the Nvidia GeForce GT 230M 1GB video card, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 1TB of hard drive space using dual HDDs, and a Blu-ray burner or Blu-ray combo drive. The display has a full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and is covered with edge-to-edge glass.

HP Pavilion G60 519WM

Walmart offered the HP Pavilion G60-519WM 15.6-inch laptop for $298 on November 7.The Pavilion G60-519WM includes the Intel Celeron 900 processor at 2.2GHz, the GMA 4500M integrated graphics, 3GB of DDR2 memory, a 250GB hard drive, a DVD burner, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, a 56k modem, two USB ports, a VGA output, and Windows 7 Home Premium OS.

The product page at Walmart.com says the notebook will be available in Wallmart’s brick-and-mortar stores and that will not be available on the retailer’s website.

HP Compaq Presario CQ61Z

The HP Compaq Presario CQ61Z is a recently released 15.6-inch series laptop, advertised as a classic style notebook for easy everyday computing.

The Compaq Presario CQ61Z comes with the AMD Sempron single core M100 or AMD dual core CPUs (M300, M320, M500 or M520), the ATI Radeon HD 4200 integrated graphics, up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, up to 500GB of hard drive space, and a DVD burner or optional Blu-ray combo drive.

Its 15.6″ display has a resolution of 1366-by-768 pixels and optional LED backlight.

HP’s new notebook also includes an optionally built-in web camera, stereo speakers, a VGA output and optional HDMI, wireless LAN and Ethernet LAN connections, optional Bluetooth, three USB ports, and a 5-in-1 media card reader.

The CQ61z weighs 5.9 pounds with its standard 6-cell battery and runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS.

New Netbook – HP Mini 110 XP

Hewlett-Packard’s recently announced netbook, the 10.1-inch HP Mini 110 XP is available for purchase starting today.

The Mini 110 XP runs Windows XP OS and comes with an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz or N280 1.66GHz processor, the GMA 950 integrated graphics, 1GB of DDR2 memory, a 160GB hard drive or up to 32GB of solid state drive storage, and a 3- or 6-cell battery. An optional Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video Accelerator for 1080p video content is expected to be available in July.

The netbook’s 10.1″ LED backlight display has a resolution of 1024×576 pixels and anti-glare coating.

Other features include a built-in web camera, stereo speakers, a 92% of full-size keyboard, a wireless G card, an optional mobile broadband module, a LAN port, three USB ports, a 5-in-1 media card reader, and a VGA output.

The HP Mini 110 XP starts at 2.25 pounds and has the Black Swirl Imprint finish.

Its base price is $329 at the HP website.

HP 10″ Mini Netbook

HP Mini 5101 Netbook

Hewlett-Packard announced today the newly designed HP Mini 5101 10.1-inch netbook, featuring the Intel Atom N280 CPU at 1.66GHz, up to 320GB HDD at 7,200rpm or an 80GB solid state drive, Windows XP Home or SUSE Linux OS, and a 4-cell or 6-cell battery.

The LED backlight display has a resolution of 1024-by-600 or 1366-by-768 pixels. It’s managed by the Intel GMA 950 video chip.

The HP Mini 5101 also sports a keyboard that is 95 percent of a full-size QWERTY keyboard and that has keys raised from the surface, a 2MP web camera, stereo speakers and microphones, 802.11a/b/g/draft-n WiFi, a Gigabit LAN port, optional mobile broadband module, three USB ports, a 2-in-1 media card reader, and a VGA output.

The netbook starts at 2.6 pounds and features an anodized aluminum display enclosure with a black, brushed finish, while the lower case of the netbook is made of magnesium alloy.

The HP Mini 5101 is available now at HP and starts at $399.

6 Cell Battery HP

The extended 6-cell battery for the HP Mini 1000 netbook is now available for purchase.

The Lithium-Polymer battery (FZ332AA#ABB) is priced at $95.99, when sold separately.

HP’s Mini 1000, starting at $279.99, comes with the 3-cell stock battery. Upgrade to the 6-cell unit costs $40.00. Customers can also purchase the netbook with both batteries for additional $119.00.
