
German e-tailer PC IT Shop has started offering the new ASUS Eee PC 1215P 12.1-inch ultraportable/netbook, featuring the latest Intel Atom N550 dual-core processor.
The Eee PC 1215P runs Windows 7 Home Premium OS and includes 2GB DDR3 RAM, a 250GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, a web camera, and a VGA port.
It’s offered in black and silver color and has a price tag of 446,90 Euros (566 USD).

Lenovo’s recently released 15.6-inch IdeaPad Z560 entertainment laptop is now on sale.

Intel has showcased “the world’s thinnest netbook” at the ongoing Computex Show in Taipei.
Based on the new “Canoe Lake” platform, the 14mm thin netbook concept utilizes a dual-core mobile Atom CPU and runs cooler than current netbooks, according to Intel.
Intel has also revealed “Oak Trail” SoC (system-on-chip) Intel Atom processor–based platform “optimized for sleek tablet and netbook designs, delivering up to a 50 percent reduction in average power consumption with full HD-video playback and targeting software choice including MeeGo, Windows 7 and Google operating systems”.
The company says the first mobile dual-core Intel Atom processors are in production now and will hit the market before the winter holiday season, while the DDR3 supporting single-core Atom N455 and N475 chips are available today.

Acer has announced the 10.1-inch Aspire One D260 and Aspire One 533 netbooks, as well as 11.6-inch Aspire One 753 ultraportable.
The Acer Aspire One D260 (AOD260) features the 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 / N455 processor, 1GB RAM, up to 250GB of hard drive space, a 1024×600 display, Wi-Fi, optional Bluetooth 3.0, and Windows 7 or optional dual-boot Google Android / Windows 7 OS configuration.
The Aspire One 533 (AO533) netbook comes with the Atom N455 or N470 1.83GHz CPU, support for DDR3 memory, a 250GB hard disk, 1024×600 or 1280×720 display, integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and 3G options, an HDMI port, and claimed 10 hours of battery life on a single charge.
Acer’s 753 (AO753) includes the Intel Celeron U3400 ULV CPU, Intel HD graphics with 128MB dedicated memory, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 640GB HDD, 1366×768 display, Wi-Fi, optional Bluetooth and 3G, and an HDMI output.

The Acer Aspire One AO721 (721) 11.6-inch AMD-based ultraportable netbook is now on sale in the US.
The first model offered is the Aspire One AO721-3574. It features the AMD Athlon II Neo K125 processor at 1.7GHz, ATI Radeon HD 4225 graphics, 2GB of DDR3 memory, a 250GB hard drive with Windows 7 Home Premium OS pre-installed, a LED-backlight display with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels, and a 6-cell battery for up to 5.5 hours of run time.
The 3.1-pound 721-3574 also includes a built-in 1.3MP web camera, HDMI and VGA outputs, microphone, 802.11n WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet, three USB ports, a multi-in-1 card reader, and a multi-gesture touchpad.

Acer has announced the US availability of the Aspire TimelineX thin-and-light laptop series, including the 11.6-inch Aspire 1830T, 13.3″ 3820T, 14″ 4820T and the 15.6″ 5820T.
Besides LED-backlit displays, TimelineX notebooks include the Intel Core i3 or Core i5 full-voltage processors, except the 1830T with a Core i3 ultra-low voltage chip. The laptops have Intel’s integrated GPU or swithcable graphics with an ATI Radeon dedicated video card, 3GB or 4GB of memory, up to 500GB hard drive space, optical drives in 14″ and 15.6″ models, and Windows 7 Home Premium OS.
The TimelineX systems are less than one inch thin and are housed in black brushed aluminium cases. The laptops’ weight ranges from 3 to 5.5 pounds.
According to Acer, the new notebooks are desinged to deliver “eight hours of battery life”.
Prices of the Acer Aspire 1830T and 3820T start at $599.99 and $729.99, respectively, whereas the 4820T and 5820T both start at $749.99.

MSI has presented the AMD Ultrathin Platform-based Wind U250 12.1-inch laptop at an event in France.
The Wind U250 includes the AMD Athlon II Neo K325 processor at 1.3 GHz, 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, and the most likely 1366×768 display resolution.
MSI’s U250 runs Windows 7 OS and is expected to hit the market this summer.

The Acer Aspire AS5740, a 15.6-inch laptop with the new Intel Core i3 processor, is now available in the US.
E-tailers currently offer four AS5470 models – the AS5740-5513, AS5740-5144, AS5740-5255 and AS5740-5749, all with the Intel Core i3 330M 2.13GHz processor which includes the GMA HD integrated graphics. The notebooks also feature 4GB of DDR3 memory, a 6-cell battery for “up to four hours” of run time, a 1366×768 display, and Windows 7 Home Premium OS.
The AS5740-5513, S5740-5255 and AS5740-5749 have a 320GB hard drive, whereas the AS5740-5144 has a 500GB HDD. The S5740-5255 additionally includes Bluetooth, while the AS5740-5749 has a Blu-ray Combo drive, instead of a standard DVD burner in other models.
Acer’s new Aspire laptops sport built-in web camera and microphone, stereo speakers, Dolby Home Theater audio technology, 802.11n WiFi, an HDMI output, and a multi-touch trackpad.
The available models feature a blue lid and weigh around 6.16 pounds.

Hewlett-Packard’s recently announced netbook for business users, the 10.1-inch HP Mini 5102, is available now.
The Mini 5102 comes with the Intel Atom Processor N450 at 1.66GHz, the Intel GMA HD graphics, optional Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video Accelerator for high-def video decoding, up to 2GB of DDR2 memory, up to 320GB of hard drive space or up to 80GB of solid state drive storage, a 4- or 6-cell battery, and Windows 7 Starter OS.
The netbook’s 10.1-inch LED-backlit display has a resolution of 1024×600 or 1366×768 pixels. It is also expected to be available with an optional capacitive multi-touch display.

Other features include an optional handle, a 95% full-size keyboard, a built-in web camera, stereo speakers, 802.11n WiFi, Gobi mobile broadband connectivity with GPS, optional Bluetooth, a LAN port, three USB ports, a media card reader, and a VGA output.
The 0.91-inch thin HP Mini 5102 starts at 2.64 pounds. It has an anodized-aluminum display enclosure and is available in three colors: red, blue, and black.
The cheapest Mini 5102 configuration has a price tag of $749 at the HP website.

MSI announced today the 14-inch CX420 and CR420, and 17.3-inch CR720 laptops, all based on Intel’s Arrandale processors.
Along with the 2010 Intel Core i Series CPUs, the notebooks include up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, and up to 500GB of hard drive space.
The MSI CX420 features the ATI Radeon HD5470 1GB dedicated video card, whereas the CR420 has the Intel GMA HD integrated graphics. Both 14-inchers have a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and stereo speakers.
The CR720 uses the GMA HD graphics. It has a 1600×900 display and stereo speakers with a subwoofer.
MSI’s new laptops also sport built-in web cameras, 802.11n WiFi, HDMI ports, and Windows 7 OS.
